Showflamme: A fire company between imagination and performance
Founded in 2001, Showflamme is a fire company that develops an artistic universe infused with imagination, poetry, and collective emotion. Surrounded by passionate artists — musicians, circus performers, dancers, and sculptors — the company creates fire shows and visual performances that transform public spaces into captivating stages.
Spectacular fire installations and sculptures
On land, Showflamme is known for its fire installations, blazing sculptures, and pyrotechnic performances tailored to all types of events: festivals, inaugurations, public celebrations, or private occasions.
The birth of floating stages
In 2015, as part of Mons European Capital of Culture, the company staged a major water-based performance on three barges: L’Armada des 1.000 feux. This project marked a turning point in the development of its floating stages, initiated with the Parade des Fous Flottants in Namur, where artistic boats paraded along the Sambre River.
These experiences led to the design of remote-controlled floating platforms capable of moving smoothly and silently across water.
Living and poetic water shows
In collaboration with the collective Embarqué, Showflamme then created the aquatic performance Contes à la dérive, blending fire, live music, and performance on water.
Following its success, the company now offers several formats of water-based shows, involving one or more scenic platforms, each with a distinctive fire-based scenography.
A team of multidisciplinary artists
These floating stages host a wide range of artists: live musicians, singers, fire performers, acrobats... All contribute to creating immersive and poetic performances.
Building a shared, moving imagination
By investing lakes, rivers, ponds, or urban water spaces, Showflamme breathes new life into each site, creating a contemporary collective imagination where natural elements, technology, and living art come together.
